ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Planning, supervising, and coordinating ESNFI distribution
Register, verify, and compile beneficiary lists for the most vulnerable identified groups;
Review NFIs and shelter distribution beneficiaries’ lists, update and analyze beneficiary databases in collaboration with the concerned government body.
Ensure that the project target beneficiaries are the most in need, and explore and assess new and better ways to assist
Ensure community participation in all shelter activities
Support the Project Manager in updating implementation plans, procurement plans, and MEAL plans
Double-check final BoQs of ESNFIs and verify the submitted quantity and cost
Engage in the procurement process of local NFI materials
Mentor community volunteers on GBV/PSEA issues, COVID-19 mitigation measures at distribution, and accountability issues.
Facilitating the project hand over after completion
Attend sub-national cluster & sectorial shelter task force meetings
Job Requirement
Degree in Civil Engineering, Architectural or Water engineering or any other relevant field
Minimum of 2 years relevant working experience
Knowledge of the local language/Oromiffa
Experience from working as a Project Officer in a humanitarian/recovery context
Good understanding of Shelter/NFI in emergencies and kits distribution
Previous experience from working in complex and volatile contexts
Documented results related to the position’s responsibilities
Report writing skills
Good knowledge of English
LOCATION: Sasiga Woreda, East Wollega Zone, Oromia region
